Charles and Lavinia White of Tecumseh are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.  They were married May 7, 1958, in Gainsville, Texas.  Their children will honor them with a come-and-go reception from 2:30-4:30 p.m. May 3 at Evangelistic Center Church.
Their children and their spouses are Tammy Jordan and Jerry Chambers of Tecumseh; Sam and Canda White of Shawnee; and Dwayne and Tracey Forrester of Tecumseh.
Their grandchildren and their spouses are Charles Jordan and Wendi Johnson; Bradly and Brandi Jordan; Taryn and Taylor White and Cody Stevenson; Josh, Jennifer, and Lacey Forrester.
Their great-grandchildren are Gabi Jordan and Isaiah Jordan.
Charles’ mother, Ruth Walker also resides in Tecumseh.
Charles worked for in retail for 33 years, 14 of which he managed the TG&Y store in Tecumseh. He later spent 10 years driving over the road for FFE and American Eagle truck lines and local routes for Sinclair Oil.
Lavinia raised four children, untold numbers of farm animals and pets, and tended acres of gardens and flowerbeds. After raising her children, she owned and operated Sew Special Fabrics in Tecumseh. A family member said, “She has amazing artistic talents which are apparent in her many paintings, sculptures, and articles of clothing she has produced over the years.”
The family requests that their many friends and acquaintances from Tecumseh and the surrounding communities drop by to visit and share some memories.  No gifts, please.
