Shawnee resident Marilyn Joan McIntyre, 67, died Thursday, April 24, 2008. 
She was born April 15, 1941, in Holdenville, to James Rufus and Dessie Jewel (Shores) Pipkin.
Marilyn moved to California with her family when she was a teenager and made her life there for the next 38 years. 
She met her husband Robert McIntyre, and they married Dec. 5, 1970.
While living in California, she was a member of Women of the Moose, College of Regents and the Academy of Friendship. Marilyn and Robert moved to Oklahoma in 1993. Marilyn loved flower gardening and arranging artificial flowers. She was also a wonderful cook and loved to sing. She was most passionate about her family. She dearly loved to spoil her grandchildren. Marilyn was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be dearly missed. 
She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Johnny Wayne Pipkin and James Thomas Pipkin. 
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Robert McIntyre of the home; children, James Glen Love of Fairfield, Calif., Teresa Michelle Brewer of Corona, Calif., and David Boyd Love, Jr. of Vancouver, Wash.; brother, Jerry Murrell Pipkin of Sacramento, Calif.; grandchildren, John Joseph Love, Lisa Marie VonRuden, Naomi Michelle Love, and Nina Marie Love; great-granddaughter, Emily Leeanne VonRuden, and one on the way; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. today. Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Resthaven Funeral Home with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
