McLoud resident Teddy F. Lane died Saturday, April 26, in Shawnee at the age of 84.


McLoud resident Teddy F. Lane died Saturday, April 26, in Shawnee at the age of 84.
He was born Oct. 10, 1923, west of Shawnee to Homer and Emeline Lane.
In 1947 he married Marie Richards. She was the love of his life and best friend for 51 years until her death in 1998.
 Ted was a mechanic at Tinker Air Force Base. He was a member of Church Of God Seventh Day. He loved the Lord and lived what he believed. He also loved to fish and  spend time with his family. Teddy had a gentle spirit and loved gardening.
 He was proceeded in death by his parents; wife Marie; brother, Pete Lane; sisters, Velma Waterman, Geneiva Gateno, and Helen Lane; and great-grandson, Justice Lane Brown.
 Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Claude Hickman; grandson, Chris Brown and Lori; great-grandchildren, Steven, Levi, Rebecca, Amanda Brown; brother, and Homer Lane Jr.; sisters, Zelma Hollis, Leona Drake and Kermit; and many other loving relatives and friends.
Service will be 2 p.m Wenesday at Church of God Seventh Day with Pastor Ruben Marquez officiating. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery.
