Shane Bailey accounted for 427 yards of offense as the Maud Tigers captured their fourth straight district championship and extended their unbeaten district win streak to 36 games in a 60-50 victory at host Webbers Falls Friday night.


Shane Bailey accounted for 427 yards of offense as the Maud Tigers captured their fourth straight district championship and extended their unbeaten district win streak to 36 games in a 60-50 victory at host Webbers Falls Friday night.
Bailey ran for 235 yards on 14 carries and scored five touchdowns while completing 4-of-8 passes for 192 yards and two more scores as Maud improved to 8-1 on the season and went to 7-0 in District C-4.
Bailey had touchdown runs of 46, 35, 16, 52 and 45 yards while connecting with Trey Hale on scoring passes of 61 and 64 yards. Hale caught all four of the Tiger passes to finish with 192 yards in receiving
Maud also received 122 rushing yards on 18 attempts and two TDs from Chaz Moody, who had scoring runs of 3 and 15 yards.
The Tigers compiled 461 yards of total offense, compared to 375 by Webbers Falls.
Tyler Stephens had five touchdown runs of 4, 1, 5, 2 and 7 yards for the hosts in a losing cause.
Defensively for Maud, Cody Williams was in on 28 tackles and one quarterback sack. Bailey totaled 23 tackles with an interception and fumble recovery and Moody ended up with 21 tackles. Nick Simons and Hale were in on 14 tackles apiece as Simons also had a fumble recovery.
The Tigers close out the regular season next Friday night at home against Bokoshe at 7:30.
