The Shawnee Police Foundation’s annual banquet is scheduled April 5.
During the evening, several awards, including Officer of the Year, are presented.
This year’s guest speaker will be FBI Supervisory Special Agent Michael Bulzomi and entertainment will be provided by the rock band Shiloh Steel, which includes two members who are Shawnee police officers.
Reservations are being accepted for the awards banquet, which will be April 5 at the Shawnee Expo Center.
A social reception begins at 6 p.m., with the banquet starting at 6:30 p.m.
Cost to attend the event is $25 per person or $250 for a table of eight.
The purpose of the Shawnee Police Foundation, established in 2005, is to financially supplement the Shawnee community in assisting the police and the community in policing efforts
The Shawnee Police Foundation was established as a non profit 501 (c) 3 organization to provide equipment and/or training for Shawnee law enforcement that is not otherwise provided.
Tickets and RSVPs for the annual banquet must be made by March 30. Tickets can be purchased from any Shawnee Police Foundation member, or by mail: Shawnee Police Foundation Banquet Committee, PO Box 32, Shawnee, OK 74802-0032. Tickets also can be purchased through the Shawnee Police Foundation Banquet Committee at the police department, 16 W. 9th, Shawnee, OK 74801.
Those purchasing tickets can also sponsor tickets for police officers to attend at $15 per officer.
