A Moore man has been arrested in connection with the Thursday bank robbery of a credit union.

James E. Finch, Special Agent in Charge of the Oklahoma City Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Friday afternoon announced the arrest of Dwight Earl Jordan, 33, of Moore, on charges related to the robbery of the Weokie Federal Credit Union.

At approximately 3:27 p.m. Thursday, the Weokie Federal Credit Union, located at 7600 S. Pennsylvania Avenue, Oklahoma City, was robbed. Investigation subsequent to the robbery identified Jordan as the individual responsible for the robbery.

Further investigation revealed Jordan was taken into custody Thursday night at approximately 9:30 p.m. by Cleveland County Sheriff’s Deputies on unrelated charges, and was being held at the Cleveland County Jail in Norman. At approximately 3:30 p.m. Friday, Jordan was taken into custody by FBI Agents at the Cleveland County Jail on federal bank robbery charges. Jordan was transported to the Grady County Jail where he will be held pending an initial appearance in federal court.
