Oklahoma Baptist’s Blake Woodard and Trey Tully were named the Central States Football League’s Offensive and Special Teams Players of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Woodard, a sophomore quarterback from Newcastle, threw for 147 yards and four touchdowns in the Bison’ 63-21 win over Wayland Baptist last Saturday. All four touchdowns came in the second quarter, as Woodard did not play in the second half after the Bison built a 42-0 halftime lead.
Tully, a freshman kicker from Ardmore, made all nine of his extra points in the win, and averaged 61.1 yards on seven kickoffs.
Tully won the Player of the Week award five times this season. This is the second time this season Woodard has won the award.
The Bison finished the season 8-3 and in third place in the CSFL. Langston won the league title and a berth in the national playoffs.
