It’s great to curl up in your favorite chair and read a book when it’s cold or rainy. But with the weather warming up, why not take advantage of the outdoors and find some sunny reading spots?

Here are some places to get some fresh air while you take in a book or two:

1. Shawnee Twin Lakes: Sure, most people associate lakes with swimming and fishing and water recreation. But it’s also nice to kick back and relax with a book. Not to mention, what better way to pass the time while fishing than reading?

2. Japanese Peace Garden: The Japanese Peace Garden at the airport walking trail is a great place to sit down and do some reading. There are benches where you can sit, and a pavilion where you can catch some shade.

3. Woodland Park: With construction wrapping up on the new pool, Woodland Park will be the place to be. Along with swimming, tennis, and visiting the veterans memorial, you can take a seat on one of the benches and do some reading.
