Dale had little difficulty with Cimarron in a 10-0 shutout Monday night.

The Pirates were led by Hunter Sanford who went 2-for-3 on the plate with a double. Logan Carter also had a double in the contest.

Jake Bigham threw the first four innings for the win. He fanned four batters, walked two and gave up two hits. Blake McQuain threw the remainder giving up four hits and striking out two.

Dale will travel to Preston Friday as they try to earn a spot in the State Tournament. The Pirates will play Ripley at 4. Should they win they will face the winner of Byng and Preston in the championship game. If they lose they will fall into the loser’s bracket to play the loser of that game.

The winner of the loser’s semifinal will have one more shot to make it to State as they face the runner-up of the championship game for the final spot.
