The first annual Firelake Golf Tournament will be teeing off at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2.

Justin Stone with the Tecumseh Chamber of Commerce said this is a chance for residents to get out with the chamber. It is also a fundraising opportunity.

“We’re going to replace the signs that welcome people into Tecumseh,” Stone said, adding that the signs are about 15 years old.

Although registration ended Tuesday, Stone said it’s not too late to sign up.

“If someone decided they wanted to call and be apart of it, we’d let them,” he said.

The tournament is $50 for person and will include a four-man scramble. First place winners will receive $200 and second place winners will receive $100. Dinner will be provided.

The tournament will take place at the FireLake Golf Course on 1901 Gordon Cooper Drive.
