The City of Tecumseh is the recipient of a $192,500 grant from the

 

Avedis Foundation for a Splash Pad to be located at Slick Humphrey Park.

 

The Splash Pad will be an addition to the existing park facilities which includes

 

ADA playground equipment, ADA restrooms, multipurpose trail, skate park,

 

tennis courts, softball fields, picnic areas and basketball court.

 

The 3,850 sq. ft. splash pad area will include 19 ground spray features and 9

 

above ground features. It will also include shade structures, picnic tables and

 

park benches.

 

The Rotary Club of Tecumseh assisted with fundraising efforts.

 

Mayor Eddy Parker said he looks forward to his grandchildren having

 

the opportunity to stay in Tecumseh to utilize the Splash Pad.

 

Tecumseh City Manager, Jimmy Stokes said the Splash Pad will be a nice source

 

of revenue as its bring people from other areas into Tecumseh. He also looks

 

forward to his children and grandchildren benefiting from such a nice facility.
