Shawnee resident, Thomas “Mac” W. McDonald Jr., 83, died on Saturday, November 28, 2015, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on February 12, 1932, in Havre, Montana to Thomas W. McDonald Sr. and Christine (Andrus) McDonald. Mac joined the Air Force in 1952 and served during the Korean War. He married Alice Holloway in 1961. They moved around before settling in Shawnee in 1971. Mac worked at Tinker Air Force Base and retired after 35 years of service. He enjoyed working on/fixing anything mechanical, woodworking, and watching drag racing. He was a member of the American Legion. Mac was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Edith Crumpacker.

Those left to cherish their memories are his wife of 54 years, Alice McDonald; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Olga McDonald; daughter and son-in-law, Trisha and Scott Elam; five grandchildren; and 1 great grandson.
