Beverly Joy Steward, 80, of Shawnee, passed away Monday, April 18, 2016.

Upon her wishes, a private family service was held on Wednesday, April 27, 2016. She was laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Beverly was born in Shawnee to Lloyd Redman Reynolds and Atha Edna Nelson Reynolds.

She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and a 1953 graduate of Shawnee High school.

Beverly was married to Wayne Steward for 18 years. In high school, Beverly worked at S.H. Crest company, after graduating, she worked in her father’s trucking business, Humpty Dumpty Grocery and then later for Shawnee Public School System.

Beverly is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Atha Reynolds, brothers, Earl R. Reynolds, Bob Reynolds, Sisters; Cleo Gibson, Pearl Mallow, Peggy Akerman; Brother in law Orville Mallow, nephews Carl Mallow, Mike Wade and Ricky Akerman.

Beverly is survived by son, Tony Steward and wife, Renee of Shawnee; daughter, Debra Steward of the home; two grandsons, Will Steward of Broken Arrow; Stewy (Jerrod) Steward and wife, Sarah of Shawnee; two great-granddaughters, Reese Steward of Broken Arrow; Harper Steward of Shawnee; Close Niece Patty Reynolds and many other family members.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the loved ones and friends for the phone calls, meals, kind words and cards.
