Potawatomi Fire players to compete in TBT on July 18th

Those who didn’t get enough of watching the Potawatomi Fire recently capture their historic third straight championship of The Basketball League (TBL) last week, can make a short trip up to Wichita, Kan., on Friday, July 18 and see many members of the team compete in The Basketball Tournament (TBT), a 64-team, winner-take-all One-Million Dollar event. The team is called the Fire Family and will feature eight current Potawatomi Fire players and will be led by current Fire Head Coach Mark Dannhoff.

Cub Scouts wrap up day camp

CANADIAN VALLEY DISTRICT — The barn doors have officially closed on another week of Cub Scout Day Camp, where laughter, learning, and lots of outdoor activity brought Scouts together “Down on the Farm.” Held at Gordon Cooper Technology Center, the weeklong camp wrapped up with a Family Day featuring hot dogs, hamburgers, rope bridge challenges, and the classic summer combo: a stick and some water to stir up fun. The camp welcomed Cub Scouts from across the Canadian Valley District.
