Old Glory — my Flag Dear editor, A Mexican flag being waved by a rioter atop a disabled LA police car does not represent the country I proudly served in the USAF for 20 years and 25 days. Just to make it absolutely clear: I did not miss birthdays for a Mexican flag; I did not miss the birth of our second child for a Mexican flag; I did not miss Thanksgiving and Christmas for a Mexican flag; I did not miss an anniversary for a Mexican flag; I did not have 14 different addresses in my career for a Mexican flag.

Be alert to fraud after a disaster

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma survivors should be aware that con artists and criminals may try to obtain money or steal personal information through fraud or identity theft after the fires and straight-line winds that began March 14-21. In some cases, thieves try to apply for FEMA assistance using names, addresses and Social Security numbers they have stolen from survivors.

WASHINGTON -- With Oklahoma City set to host Olympic events in 2028, members of Congress are already raising questions about how both the Sooner State and Los Angeles will ensure the safety of athletes, fans and venues. Nearly 15 million spectators are expected across the Los Angeles region and Oklahoma City, along with more than 11,000 Olympic and 4,400 Paralympic athletes, one of the primary concerns is how to ensure security for such a large-scale international event.
