AG warns consumers about scam soliciting preemptive bail payments
OKLAHOMA CITY-- Attorney General Gentner Drummond is warning Oklahoma consumers about the resurgence of a scam where fraudsters are producing fake arrest warrants and asking individuals to post preemptive bail at virtual currency kiosks.
$1.1M awarded to 28 organizations through Oklahoma Civil Rights Trail Grant Program
OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Historical Society (OHS) proudly announces that 28 organizations have been awarded a grant through the Civil Rights Trail Grant Program. This total amount awarded of just over $1,100,000 will assist with the collections, interpretation and educational programming for civil rights-associated places.
Seminole resident pleads guilty to federal firearm crime
MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Byron Keith Spencer, age 53, of Seminole, Oklahoma, entered a guilty plea to a one-count Felony Information of Possession of Stolen Firearm, punishable by up to ten years in prison and a $250,000.00 fine. The Felony Information alleged that on May 9, 2023, Spencer knowingly possessed one handgun which he knew or had reasonable cause to believe was stolen.

Cougars shut out Perkins-Tryon in summer baseball action
PERKINS - Jace Plumb pitched a one-hitter over four innings and Hunter Bertram had a 3-for-3 performance from the plate with a double, two runs batted in, three runs scored and a walk on Tuesday as the North Rock Creek Cougars popped Perkins-Tryon 13-0 in five innings Tuesday in summer baseball play. Plumb struck out seven and gave up no walks in working the first four frames.
