ENID - After edging the Enid Outlaws by one point in the regular season road finale just one week prior, the Potawatomi Fire used a late second-quarter surge to pull away for a 122-98 victory in Game 1 of a best-of-three first-round series Thursday night in The Basketball League (TBL) playoffs at Stride Bank Arena. Down 40-39 with 5:51 to go before halftime, the Fire closed the second quarter with a massive 14-2 run and then scored the first seven points in the third period to coast the rest of the way against a team which fell 116-115 to Potawatomi on May 22 at Stride Bank Arena.

Oklahoma State University is supporting Oklahoma Pre-K through 12th grade schools in enhancing physical education through a partnership with the Oklahoma State Department of Education. Schools selected for the initiative may receive up to $10,000 in reimbursement for exercise equipment, along with mentoring, professional development, and participation in a virtual community of practice led by OSU’s Human Performance and Nutrition Research Institute and OSU Center for Health Sciences Project ECHO.
