Life.Church Shawnee celebrated 10 years of serving the community during its church services on Sunday, May 4. Known for its heart for the community and the people in Pottawatomie County, the church has given over $1 million in the last decade to support local partnerships, community outreach, and relief efforts.

LUTHER – Elijah Dushack collected two hits while Titus Grimes knocked in two runs Monday as the Meeker Bulldogs topped the Luther Lions 6-4. Each team had just five hits and the two teams combined for seven errors (four by Meeker and three from Luther).
North Rock Creek boys capture five regional individual titles
The Seminole State College Educational Foundation hosted its 30th Annual Spring Recognition Banquet on Thursday, May 1 in the Utterback Ballroom of the Enoch Kelly Haney Center. A crowd of 450 guests filled the venue, and the event raised just over $60,000—making it the most successful banquet in the event’s history.
Four Seminole State College students were inducted into the Psi Beta National Honor Society in Psychology for the 2024-2025 academic year during a special ceremony held Thursday, May 1. The new inductees include Mackenzie Harris and Cody Hisaw of Shawnee, Nicholas Johnson of Tecumseh and Lenny Davidson of Meeker.
