OKLAHOMA CITY – Legislation carried by Rep. Dell Kerbs, R-Shawnee, to modernize the process for selling state-owned railroad assets passed the Oklahoma House of Representatives by a vote of 81-8.
OKLAHOMA CITY - Over the next several weeks, some registered voters in Oklahoma will receive an Address Confirmation Notice from the State Election Board. The notices are required by state law to confirm whether or not the identified voters still reside at their address on file with their county election board.
With continued rainfall Wednesday, water and flash flooding was impacting several area roads, prompting emergency management officials in both Lincoln and Pottawatomie Counties to remind drivers to stay safe and avoid flooded areas.

MOORE – The North Rock Creek Lady Cougars picked up two runs in the top of the eighth inning to edge Southmoore 3-1 in Monday slow-pitch softball play. The two runs came off an RBI groundout by Izzy O’Daniel and a Hadlee Gates run-scoring single.
The Senate just passed the second committee deadline of this legislative session. April 24 marked the final day for House bills to advance out of Senate committees.
