OKLAHOMA CITY – Gordon Cooper Technology Center joined CareerTech technology centers from across the state to celebrate the partnerships that fuel local and statewide economic growth at the annual Partners in Progress event on Monday. This year, Gordon Cooper was proud to recognize Pottawatomie County Commissioners, Melissa Dennis, Greg Rush and Abby Thompson as exemplary partners in career and technology education (CTE).
More than 20 teams competed in the Oklahoma Baptist University Bison Invitational track meet Tuesday. North Rock Creek boys placed fourth overall and Shawnee came in at 10th.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Some of Oklahoma CareerTech’s most valued industry partners were recognized at the annual Partners in Progress celebration on Monday. The Oklahoma Association of Career and Technology Education (OkACTE) and Oklahoma Association of Technology Centers (OATC) presented awards to thirty businesses that were recognized for making outstanding contributions to the improvement, promotion, development and progress of career and technology centers in Oklahoma.

Seminole State College welcomed civic leaders from Stroud, Holdenville, Seminole, Konawa, Prague, Okemah, McLoud, Maud, Meeker, Wewoka and Cromwell on April 9 for a breakfast. The event was sponsored by SSC’s Rural Business and Resources Center.
Sequoyah Elementary students in Shawnee recently hosted a 5th grade Wax Museum. From shaking hands with George Washington and chatting with John and Abigail Adams, to meeting Lord Baltimore, or listening to wisdom from Ben Franklin and hearing the midnight ride tale straight from Paul Revere, the event offered guests a trip through time.
