Washington, D.C. - Representative Stephanie Bice and Senator James Lankford hosted a Commemorative Survivor Tree Dedication Ceremony on the United States Capitol Grounds.
TECUMSEH – Cadence Leba and Katie Overstreet each cranked out a home run Monday as the Tecumseh Lady Savages edged the Dale Lady Pirates 9-8 in a three-way slow-pitch event with McLoud. In the other two contests, Tecumseh downed McLoud 9-1 and Dale drilled McLoud 18-1.
Bethel hammers Harrah 14-4 BETHEL ACRES – Bailey Tucker and Alexis Williams collected two hits apiece while Kinley Anthony, Lilly Ingmire and Frost Peltier knocked in two runs apiece as the Bethel Lady Wildcats ripped the Harrah Lady Panthers 14-4 in 3 ½ innings. Tucker went 2-for-4 with a triple, one RBI and two runs scored while Williams was 2-for-3 with one RBI and three runs scored.
Oklahoma Baptist University is offering a broad range of summer courses at a rate of $350 per credit hour, half the regular tuition rate, to assist students in affordably earning credits they need between the spring and fall semesters. Most courses will be offered online.
The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division, Criminal Investigations Division, and Drone Division on Tuesday assisted the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office in executing a search warrant at an illegal marijuana grow operation located north of the intersection of Highway 99 and Hazel Dell Road. According to PCSO reports, Pottawatomie County Emergency Management supported the operation by flying drones to provide aerial coverage, and Pottawatomie County District 1 crews assisted by bringing out equipment to help collect and transport the seized marijuana plants.
