McLOUD – The McLoud Lady Redskins head into the 2025 slow-pitch softball season with experience and a bit of momentum after going 19-11 last year. “We return a lot of experience from last season,” said McLoud Head Coach Josh Ray.
The Pottawatomie County Junior Livestock Show was held last week at the Expo Center, culminating with the annual premium auction.
BETHEL ACRES – The Bethel Wildcat baseball program will be under new leadership and return only two starters for the 2025 season. Gary Bandy takes over with the help of assistant coaches Hunter Pinkston, Kyle Childers and Jake Williams.
Lack of experience should not be a problem for the 2025 North Rock Creek baseball squad. Twelve returning players were in the starting lineup last season, including five seniors, five juniors and a pair of sophomores for a team which posted a 24-8 record and reached a Class 4A Super Regional.
Losing five four-year starters out of the lineup might make some coaches cringe. Not Chance Griffin.

TECUMSEH - With a long-awaited slow-pitch state championship in their hip pocket, the Tecumseh Lady Savages will be seeking a repeat this spring. Coach Perry Wilson has nine returning starters back after the team finished 32-9 and made a clean run through the Class 5A State Championship bracket in 2024.
