DALE – Class 2A top-ranked Dale placed four players in double figures Friday night as the Pirates drained 12 three-point baskets in rolling to a 93-42 thumping of Pawnee in the first round of regional action.
EARLSBORO - Haileyville struck first but Earlsboro had little trouble taking the lead and pulling away for a big 61-30 win Friday to stay alive in the Class B regional playoffs. However, the Wildcats were eliminated from the regional after dropping a 54-51 decision to Carney on Saturday Haileyville took a 1-0 lead early, but Quintin Lena scored five straight points and Elias Barraza closed the first quarter with four of his own to give the Wildcats a 12-5 lead after one.
BETHEL ACRES - Bethel made easy work in a pair of 3A District Championships with two easy wins over Marietta to advance to the winners’ bracket of a Regional Tournament in Bethel later this week.
