North Rock Creek registers road sweep of Shawnee

The North Rock Creek Lady Cougars scorched the nets in the opening quarter to set the tone and the NRC boys pulled away by outscoring Shawnee in the second through fourth periods in sweeping the Lady Wolves and Wolves Saturday in a noisy and nearly full house at the SHS Performing Arts and Athletic Center. The NRC girls claimed a 59-46 decision while the Cougars were 61-53 winners over Shawnee in the boys’ contest.

OBU men dominate Arkansas Tech with big second half

Oklahoma Baptist used a dominant second half to overcome a halftime deficit and secure a 69-59 victory over Arkansas Tech on Saturday in Great American Conference action at the Noble Complex. Trailing 35-29 at the break, the Bison (14-8 overall, 11-5 GAC) came out firing in the second half, outscoring the Wonder Boys (9-13, 6-10 GAC) by 16 points behind an efficient offensive display and strong defensive effort.
