Family of Faith boys win junior high state crown

The Family of Faith Christian junior high boys’ basketball squad recently won a Heartland Christian Association State Championship after knocking off Fayetteville Christian 29-25 last Saturday at the Oklahoma Baptist University Noble Complex. Cam Donnelly paced the victorious Warriors with nine points, followed by Kabren Thomas with seven, Nick Wiedel and Henry Hammons with four each, Daelon Tomlin with three and Brendan Tomlin with two.

Shawnee Big Lots closing

According to the Big Lots website, at biglots.com, in January the company closed its sale agreement with Gordon Brothers Retail Partners, LLC, “which will enable Variety Wholesalers, Inc. to acquire between 200 and 400 Big Lots stores that it plans to operate under the Big Lots brand, as well as up to two distribution centers.” Bruce Thorn, Big Lots' president and CEO, said, "We are pleased to close this strategic transaction, which provides a framework to preserve thousands of jobs, maximize value, and maintain the Big Lots brand.
