Lady Wolves celebrate Senior Night with swim team victory
The Shawnee Lady Wolves celebrated Senior Night Tuesday by taking first place in nine of 11 swimming events while competing against three other schools at the Shawnee Family YMCA pool. The Lady Wolves posted a team score of 398, followed by Harrah at 3-2, Choctaw at 194 and Plainview at 40.

They were just 19 and 18 when they wed and have weathered many ups and downs over the past 7 decades. A big “Congratulations” and “Job Well Done” to them! Thank you, Granny and Papa Joe for honoring God in your marriage and prioritizing your family! Did you enjoy the beautiful snow last week? Pott. County jury convicts defendant in Shawnee post office robberies
Following a jury trial this week, a Pottawatomie County jury found a Shawnee man guilty on two felony counts of first-degree robbery related to two separate incidents at the downtown Shawnee post office in 2024.
