The story’s told of the Sunday School teacher who was explaining all the different animals Noah brought on the ark, so she asked her class to guess the animal she was describing: “It’s small, has choppy teeth, pointy ears, and a long, bushy tail. What is it?” She was confused when her class sat dumbfounded until one little girl sheepishly said, “Teacher, we know that every answer in Sunday School is ‘Jesus,’ but that sure sounds like a squirrel.” Truthfully, there’s a reason MOST of the answers to the questions of the Bible are “Jesus,” and that’s because the Bible isn’t a book about a generic god, but everything centers on, points ahead, and points back to Jesus the Christ.
