Construction continues on $30M expansion plant facility for Georg Fischer Central Plastics

Construction of a new 150,000-square-foot manufacturing facility is progressing out on Wolverine Road, between Harrison and Kickapoo, where Georg Fischer Central Plastics is making a $30M investment to accommodate the company’s growing business needs. The new plant is also expected to bring 300 full-time jobs upon opening.

Nearly 1,000 homes and businesses in Wellston and other parts of Lincoln County will gain access to high-speed broadband under a project spearheaded by the Oklahoma Broadband Office and internet service provider Centranet. The company is one of many service providers working with the Broadband Office to expand access to high-speed internet across rural parts of the state.

Winter Weather: AAA urges drivers to be prepared

With the potential for winter precipitation, AAA Oklahoma is urging drivers to be prepared for the conditions and to remain cautious if out on the roads, while the auto club’s emergency roadside rescue fleet prepares for a busy period of assisting drivers. AAA Oklahoma anticipates an increase in emergency roadside service calls as the wintry weather sweeps through and road conditions deteriorate, with slide-offs and crashes due to slick roads, battery/non-start problems and flat tires the main culprits.
