One natural disaster after another; homelessness is a continual disaster Dear editor, To date, during this 21st century, we Americans have experienced one natural disaster after another. Not counting the pandemic (which by some estimates cost one million American lives), we have lost to natural disasters some 9700 individuals and $1.6 trillion in property damages.

SHAWNEE - The Citizen Potawatomi Nation’s (CPN) Indian Child Welfare (ICW) Angel Tree program reached new heights this holiday season, providing gifts for 88 Citizen Potawatomi Nation children across the state. The long-standing program, a CPN staple for over 20 years, was made possible through the generosity of 28 Tribal departments and individual contributors, ensuring a memorable Christmas for children and families in need.
