From Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports two Tri-County area fatality accidents over the weekend – a double fatality head-on collision happened in Lincoln County Saturday and a fatality crash also was reported Friday in Seminole County. The Lincoln County accident occurred about 4:54 p.m. Saturday on US 62 and Airport Road, about one mile west of Prague on Saturday, Nov. 16. The accident occurred as a 2015 Hyundai Accent was being driven by Norman Pyatt, 48 of Prague. The patrol said Pyatt was driving eastbound on US 62. For unknown reasons, the OHP said his vehicle crossed the center line and struck head-on a 2022 Mazda CX-5 driven by Lacey Collins, 38, Paden. Pyatt was pronounced deceased at the scene by Miller EMS from injuries suffered in the collision and was taken to the Medical Examiner’s office in Oklahoma City. Collins was transported by Miller EMS to Prague Community Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased by medical professionals from injuries suffered in that collision, the OHP said. According to the patrol’s narrative of the accident, Pyatt was ejected from his vehicle and Collins was pinned about 10 minutes before extrication by the Prague Fire Department. Cause of the collision is listed as left of center, with the condition of both drivers at the time of the crash both listed as being under investigation. Pyatt was not wearing a seat belt, the OHP noted, while a seat belt was in use by Collins. That crash was investigated by Trooper Nathan Jackson, who was assisted by Trooper Konner Dowell, Trooper Francis Easton, Prague Fire Department, Prague Police Department, Miller EMS, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and Oklahoma State Medical Examiner Investigator Amy Harryman.
