The National Council for History Education (NCHE) announces that Sarah Pearcy recently participated in the 2024 Rural Experience in America, Community Civics through Historical Inquiry project funded by a grant from the Library of Congress Teaching with Primary Sources program. Since 2006, Congress has appropriated funds to the Teaching with Primary Sources (TPS) program to establish and fund a consortium of organizations working to incorporate “the digital collections of the Library of Congress into educational curricula.” Each year, members of the TPS Consortium support tens of thousands of learners to build knowledge, engagement and critical thinking skills with items from the library’s collections.

According to Visit Shawnee, Shawnee is known as the Halloween and Fall Fest Capital of Oklahoma. With more than 65 events and activities across October and November, Shawnee is the place to be for sweet treats, spooky evenings, and time with friends.

Grove first, second and third grade students participated in Grove’s second Ag Day recently.
