Gardens of the Cross Timbers: Behold the mighty Mole Cricket

Have you had trouble with Mole Crickets? One of our master gardeners complained his lawn was undergoing some restructuring. Oklahoma has 2 species of mole crickets: the Northern Mole Cricket (Neocurtilla hexadactyla) and the Prairie Mole Cricket (Gryllotalpa major). Both live in the eastern 2/3rd of Oklahoma. They do look like insect versions of moles, with tiny claws and substantial bodies.
