With more than 1,100 entries this year, contestants and their families representing more than 30 states and three countries have been in Shawnee all week for the International Finals Youth Rodeo at the Expo Center.

That’s right, the City of Shawnee is excited to announce KOCO has chosen Shawnee as a part of their “On the Road” community series coming up next week! On Tuesday, July 16, KOCO television station will be broadcasting the evenings news LIVE from Woodland Veterans Park, located at 100 E. Highland.
SHAWNEE -- Sovereign Pipe Technologies, a leading high-density polyethylene pipe manufacturer in Shawnee, was honored to host members of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation (CPN) Legislature at its facility during the 2024 CPN Family Reunion Festival.
The City of Shawnee's $2.07 million Pressure Pave Project, which was approved by the City Commission on Nov. 20, 2023, will rehabilitate about 18 lane-miles of roadway that will be repaired through a micro-surfacing technique.The following roadways are scheduled for repair:North Bryan Ave., between MacArthur and 45th St.
