I can't say that this summer has had unusual weather for Oklahoma because unusual is pretty much normal for Oklahoma no matter what season. We have had some super-hot days recently with not much rain, and that is stressful for the plants as well as the gardeners who care for them.

Back in May City of Shawnee staff proposed to the Shawnee City Commission that it was time to update the status of its downtown TIF Districts review committee – only the item has repeatedly been deferred ever since. This week the board once again voted to push back to re-establish the advisory panel after Mayor Eric Stephens opened the item for business with a motion to defer.
