Oklahoma Heritage Preservation Grant applications open Sept. 1

OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Historical Society (OHS) will open applications for the 2026 grant cycle of the Oklahoma Heritage Preservation Grant Program on Monday, September 1. This grants-in-aid program will offer awards ranging from $1,000 to $25,000 to municipal, county, or tribal governments, as well as nonprofit historical organizations and their support groups.

Dale rolls to three Thursday shutout wins in Ripley Tourney RIPLEY – The Dale Lady Pirates rolled to three shutout victories Thursday in the Ripley Tournament after blanking Hominy 1-0, Crescent 11-0 and Drumright 11-0. Dale 1, Hominy 0 Boo Herber fired a one-hitter, struck out nine and allowed no walks in pitching all six innings.
