The State Fair on Wednesday was more crowded than we had anticipated. My friend found a space in free parking, we picked up tickets, and walked on past cotton candy, caramel apples and RAM trucks to the Midway.

At any rate, I hope this finds you doing well! Autumn is a very pretty season, and we are excited for the nicer weather, changing of colors, and of course, fall sports! I especially like the fall sports of volleyball and football! We want to wish all the local schools and OBU teams well this season! The Shawnee Parks and Recreation Department continues to provide the local community with recreational spaces for the whole family to enjoy. Our many parks offer a variety of features for play, picnics, or pondering! With over 30 parks, there is probably one near your neighborhood.
