Oklahoma's 988 Mental Health Lifeline marks three year with thousands of lives impacted

This month marks three years since Oklahoma launched 988, the state’s easy-to-remember mental health lifeline. Since its debut, the line has connected more than 178,000 Oklahomans to immediate, compassionate support for mental health, substance use and suicide crises, according to Solari Crisis & Human Services, Oklahoma’s largest 988 call center provider.

Commission OKs RFP for Franklin school, deed transfer to Dunbar

Shawnee City Commissioners pushed its business gathering a week early this month, meeting July 14 instead of the 21st. Some bits of business that were addressed included issuing an RFP for the long-vacant Franklin Elementary School site; approving the deed transfer of a site previously given to South Central Industries; choosing a vice mayor; and awarding a bid offer to replace waterline on Walnut Street.
