In the quiet hours before dawn breaks, while many are still nestled in our beds, linemen begin their day, often clad in flame-resistant clothing, safety goggles, rubber gloves, and thick, heavy boots. They are the individuals who characterize dedication to service in its purest form.

Three vending machines that dispense free, lifesaving medicine are now available to the public, courtesy of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation.

A delegation of Seminole State College employees attended the Oklahoma Women in Higher Education (OKWHE) Spring Luncheon on March 28 at Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond, where University of Oklahoma Sooner Softball Coach Patty Gasso delivered the keynote address..

Seminole State College is hosting an exhibit by the Citizen Potawatomi Nation House of Hope this week in Tanner Hall. The display features clothing based on survivors’ descriptions of what they were wearing during an assault and challenges the myth that wardrobe choices contribute to sexual violence.

Entries are now open for the highly anticipated 2025 International Finals Youth Rodeo (IFYR), as it makes its famed return to Shawnee, Oklahoma, from July 6–11, 2025, bringing together youth rodeo’s stars and toughest competitors for six days of elite youth rodeo action. STROUD – The Sac and Fox Nation, in partnership with the Association of American Indian Physicians (AAIP), is continuing its 988 campaign with new public service announcements (PSAs), community event attendance, and additional community-focused resources to further raise awareness about the free and confidential 988 Mental Health Lifeline. The campaign builds on efforts launched in 2023 to normalize seeking mental health support and reduce stigma in Native communities.
