MCLOUD — Sometimes big things – and great blessings – can come in small packages, such as bottles of shampoo and conditioner. For the women at Mabel Bassett Correctional Facility in McLoud, an array of personal care hygiene products neatly placed in a bag with messages of care are being shared with them this spring.

OKLAHOMA CITY — Twenty agricultural youth from across Oklahoma, including a few from the Tri-County area, have earned top placings in the 2025 American Farmers and Ranchers (AFR) Agricultural Achievement Contest. The contest was conducted in conjunction with the Oklahoma Youth Expo (OYE) in Oklahoma City March 11-21.

Shawnee Public Schools (SPS) proudly announces that four of its outstanding educators have received top honors at the Oklahoma Library Association (OLA) Awards. The prestigious recognition highlights SPS’s commitment to innovation, technology integration, and student-centered learning.

Seminole State College’s Upward Bound program recently launched the UB Cleans initiative, providing students with the opportunity to give back to their community. Participants volunteer alongside the Seminole Arts Council, cleaning various locations around Seminole.
