More than 900 area students attend OBU's annual Apologetics Conference

More than 900 middle school and high school students gathered at Oklahoma Baptist University on March 1, 2025, for the annual Generation Why youth apologetics conference. The event, hosted by OBU’s Hobbs School of Theology and Ministry, equipped students with practical tools to understand, articulate and defend their faith in an increasingly post-Christian culture.

SHS hosts Wolf Extravaganza to welcome future students

Shawnee High School recently hosted the Wolf Extravaganza, an event designed to introduce 8th graders from across the community to the many opportunities available at SHS. During the school day, 300 8th-grade students from local schools visited the high school, where they heard from representatives about various academic programs, extracurricular activities, and athletic opportunities.
