The 2022 FireLake Fireflight Balloon Fest drew its largest crowd ever to Shawnee, Oklahoma, on August 12 and 13 to enjoy hot air balloon rides, live music performances and family entertainment. It is a free, annual event that offers both tethered and untethered balloon rides, a nightly balloon glow, concerts, food trucks and vendors.
Greetings Shawnee! Fall and football seasons are both in full swing! I really enjoy this time of year! Even if my teams aren’t winning, it is still fun to watch them play and be out in the crisp autumn weather! Speaking of winning, there are lots of ways to “win” with the Shawnee Recreation Department! We operate several facilities, and our largest is the Recreation Center at 401 N. Bell.
