AAA AAA is experiencing a sharp surge in the number of Members requesting services related to international travel, including passport photos, International Driving Permits and foreign currency, a strong indicator that travel overseas is bouncing back in concert with the easing of COVID-related restrictions both at home and abroad. In fact, on average, since the beginning of the year, a sampling* of AAA Retail locations indicates a nearly 65% increase in the number of travelers visiting its stores for passport photos as compared to last year, and the increase in demand for International Driving Permits is even greater - up more than 186% compared to last year.

Morley Griffith, Dale, has been selected for the American Farmers & Ranchers/Oklahoma Farmers Union (AFR) Cooperative 2022-2023 AFR Youth Advisory Council. This year’s council members were chosen by popular vote during the organization’s 2022 Senior Leadership Summit and have recently begun their tenure of service.

Thanks to the efforts of multiple community groups and numerous volunteers, the Homeless Resource Center, operated by the City of Shawnee, is open for the homeless. The resource center is housed at the Shawnee Rescue Mission located at 506 S Beard Street.
