After one of the warmest years ever, winter has finally arrived in Oklahoma. I hope it isn’t one of the coldest, driest, longest winters ever.
OKLAHOMA CITY ― As temperatures plunge this week, AAA Insurance is encouraging homeowners to take preventive measures to protect against the costly damage caused by burst pipes. “Extreme cold and severe winter weather can create havoc not just on the roadways, but with homes as well,” said Shawn Steward, public affairs manager, AAA Oklahoma.
Winter arrived with a vengeance on the Eleventh Day of Christmas. Those eleven pipers piping were fingering cold metal tubes and blowing with frozen lips.
