The Shawnee Police Department's Criminal Investigation is probing a weekend homicide case involving a stabbing death Saturday morning. Detectives are also investigating a separate incident involving three people who were shot and injured late Friday night.
After a stormy weekend with tornadoes in central Oklahoma, including many homes damaged in south Oklahoma City and Harrah area, Monday's storm resulted in Shawnee and Pottawatomie County being under tornado warnings as severe storms rolled through, bringing wind and heavy rainfall. There were no immediate reports of any damage involving Monday's storms, but storm spotters noted there were several areas of rotation in the county.
