The Oklahoma Office of Juvenile Affairs (OJA) is pleased to announce the availability of more than $500,000 in grants. These funds are made possible through the federal Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP). Funding is intended to support tribal youth programs offering culturally relevant resources and supports to strengthen delinquency prevention efforts and limit justice involvement among tribal youth.

Oklahoma Gas & Electric Company (OG&E) crews are in Georgia and are quickly and safely helping restore power after Hurricane Helene made landfall on the Florida coastline as a Category 4 hurricane, bringing rain and damaging wind to surrounding states and leaving more than 4 million people without power across the South, including Georgia.
Westbound I-40 will be narrowed to one lane at SH-9A/ Valley View Rd. and at SH-18/ N. Harrison Street, near Shawnee, Pottawatomie County from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday for surface repairs. Drivers should use extra caution in the area.
Seminole State College will celebrate Native American culture and heritage during its annual Tribal Fest on Wednesday, Oct. 9. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the SSC campus and will feature a variety of activities, performances and local tribal resources.
