Through a 0.495-cent Pottawatomie County sales tax increase for schools, backed by voters in November of 2015 and set to continue until June 30, 2026 -- schools have been collecting funds for several years.

Pottawatomie County sales tax collections in September show an $8,600 decrease in numbers compared to August and reports a more than $15K decrease when compared to last year’s September figures.

Jefferson Elementary School has officially opened an exciting new play-based learning space for its students: Henry’s General Store, named after the school’s beloved support dog, Henry. A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the occasion as students were introduced to this unique learning environment.
