Shawnee couple to lead tour of Israel in 2023

“Walk Where Jesus Walked” is a tour of Israel hosted by Cliff and Judi Craig of Shawnee. The tour is scheduled for May 29June 8, 2023. Sites to be seen have been selected by Cliff and will feature the major tour stops as well as Biblical sites of the Old and New Testaments. A professional guide will lead viewing Caesarea Philippi, Megiddo, Nazareth, Bethsaida, Capernaum, Mount of Beatitudes, the “Jesus boat,” and more.

Grant Green sworn in, begins first term in Senate

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Grant Green, R-Wellston, was officially sworn into office Wednesday during a ceremony at the Capitol presided over by Lt. Gov. Matt Pinnell. Oklahoma Supreme Court Chief Justice Richard Darby administered his Oath of Office. Green was joined by his wife, Dana, two daughters, Taylor Green and Baylea Green Bryant, two sons, Evan and Hayden Green, and daughter-in-law, Chelsea Green, on the Senate floor. The remaining Green family, friends, and supporters watched the ceremony from the Senate Gallery.

OBU Bison win home opener

With a team made up of mostly newcomers, the Oklahoma Baptist University Bison relied on returnees to get them over the hump Thursday night at the Noble Complex to secure a much-needed 78-67 victory over the Missouri Western Griffons. See related story and photos on B1.
