Avedis to take center stage at City Commission

On Monday, at the beginning of the Shawnee City Commission’s regular meeting, the Avedis Foundation is set to show its documentary, “The Avedis Story ‘We’re Here for Good.’” A proclamation is also scheduled for presentation. Minister’s Corner: A season for every purpose

I love that first sweater day of the new fall season. The day when the heat finally breaks and the cooler weather begins to creep in, when we begin to believe that it’s here to stay, at least for a while. Confirming the news Wednesday, Walter Baker, economic development lead for Shawnee Forward, said though “the plans that leaked on Facebook aren’t the upto- date and filed site plans, the content is essentially accurate.” Dirt work immediately south of Hobby Lobby and west of the former Sancho Ancho building has sparked much chatter online the past few days.
