It’s Fall and that means one thing -- pumpkins! Whether you’re painting a pumpkin, or carving a pumpkin the old-fashioned way, many are decorating their homes and porches with pumpkins. Send us a photo of you and your pumpkin masterpiece (selfies are OK, too), and your photo could be featured in an upcoming edition of the News-Star.

Leadership Oklahoma, SSC hold Fall Forum

Seminole State College partnered with Leadership Oklahoma (LOK) to host a Fall Forum featuring candidates for statewide offices Tuesday on the SSC campus. Former member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives Harold Wright served as moderator for the event. The non-partisan program was open to LOK alumni and members of the current class, as well as their guests.

Share your Halloween costume photos

Halloween is just around the corner, so along with trick-or-treating, fall festivals and other events, there will be many dressing up in their favorite costumes this month. OBU Bison Stampede Registration Underway for ‘The Weekend’

Oklahoma Baptist University students, faculty, staff, alumni and members of the community still have time to register for the 7th annual Bison Stampede 5K and One Mile Fun Run. The event takes place Saturday, Oct. 15, at 7 a.m. on the campus of OBU in Shawnee as part of The Weekend festivities. The cost is $10 and pre-registration is encouraged by Friday, Oct. 7.
