Commissioners approve IFYR expenses; county thanked for support

Pottawatomie County commissioners on Monday approved a final expense report outlining how $75,000 in county funding to the International Finals Youth Rodeo was spent for the July event. Funds were designated to the Shawnee Civic and Cultural Development Authority to be used for the rodeo, with reports and receipts outlining expenditures for prizes, such as custom belt buckles and horse saddles for each event winner as well as the All-Around Cowboy and Cowgirl, along with paying for event insurance and needed equipment used.
